NATE joins AHR

The North American Technician Excellence, Inc. (NATE) has become the 31st association to endorse the world's leading HVACR exposition and conference.

An independent third-party certification organization that provides the leading certification program for technicians in the heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) industry, NATE is the only test supported by the entire industry. NATE-approved testing organizations throughout the United States and Canada offer the NATE tests, and candidates can earn installation and/or service certification in the following specialty areas: air-conditioning, air distribution, heat pumps, gas heating, oil heating, hydronic heating (gas & oil), light commercial and commercial refrigeration.  A senior certification is also available for efficiency analysts-senior designees.

NATE will once again conduct certification examinations for the hundreds of technicians who will be attending the AHR EXPO.  Technicians can also register to take their specialty re-certification test at the Show.  The testing session consists of a morning refresher class (8:30am - 11:30am) and a four-hour exam in the afternoon (12:30pm - 4:30pm) consisting of the Core exam and a Specialty exam, both of which are required for certification.  Technicians should pre-register at the NATE web site (www.natex.org) to ensure that NATE brings adequate copies of the test they wish to take.
