Rubber suspension is a first with Versteel’s Quanta Chair

The Quanta Chair from Versteel is fitted with rubber suspension—an industry first— to allow for movement as a person changes position. The user moves independently of the frame, which allows the seat and back to move and flow with the individual, increasing comfort over long periods of time. Rubber suspension on both the seat and back produces a more gradual response to movement in comparison to traditional mechanical systems.
Quanta uses die cast aluminum, stamped sheet metal, and rigid steel tubing. Versteel’s unique custom profiled tubing and leg groove provide added dimension while discreetly increasing strength. The seat and back are made from the highest quality commercial grade plywood. Further, the chair is made from recycled content and wood parts from managed forests. It is designed to be disassembled and recycled at end of life. Quanta is designed with DFE (Design for the Environment) goals. In addition, Versteel is actively pursuing BIFMA level® certification for all of its products.
The chair will be specified for training, conference, and classrooms, etc. The slim profile and stackability enhance its use in training environments while solid construction makes it durable in round-the-clock university settings. www.versteel.com

Global/Local Music Page interface from Lencore is crystal clear

Lencore’s Local Music Page Interface (MPI) replaces all the bulky head end equipment that is typically associated with music and paging systems. When connected to Lencore’s Spectra i.Net® System, programming can be set for up to 1.5 million square feet. The MPI allows the ability to use up to 99 individual zones for paging using standard DTMF tones. The system is also programmed for all-call emergency broadcast paging.
The addition of Lencore’s Global MPI allows for priority paging. Utilizing a client’s existing telephone system, the Global MPI allows a user to send an all-call page to every connected building at once. This allows real time communication for company or campus wide announcements. However, in the case of a localized emergency, the system’s tiered paging provides for a top priority, emergency microphone page override.
When used with Lencore’s Spectra i.Net® System, the user-friendly web interface allows for secure 24/7 access to the system and the ability to view system settings, set timed events, and run system diagnostics from anywhere in the office, or around the world. www.lencore.com

Take a break: Ginkgo Chairs from Davis relax you…at the office

This singular contemporary design of the Ginkgo Chair Series lacks nothing in the way of comfort. The flexible, yet durable shell has just enough give to enable the user to truly relax, while the edges of the seat and back curve upward and around, respectively, making it feel as if the chair is hugging the body. Ginkgo, from Davis Furniture Industries, is designed to provide an incredibly relaxing experience. Optional upholstered seat and back inserts are available for enhanced comfort. The aesthetic appeal of Ginkgo’s slender profile is achieved by tapering the thickness of the shell which becomes gradually thinner as it fans out. Oak and walnut wood finishes give Ginkgo an understated, natural look that harkens back to the chair’s inspiration from one of nature’s most elegant designs. Designers Jehs & Laub gave it a small footprint and superior comfort make it ideal for cafés, dining areas, and libraries. www.davisfurniture.com
